The AMF external holder in conjunction with the AMF quick release holder fitted with the DIXON optic overfill sensor was developed to safeguard the optic sensor when it needs to be removed either for service or when the tanker barrel needs to be washed or steamed in the wash bay. Additionally, the external holder is supplied with a quick release plug that can be fitted to the quick release holders flange mounted to the tank barrel that will seal the barrel of the tanker or when the optic sensor is not required for a specific product and needs to be safeguarded in the external holder.
